The U.S. Supreme Court decided March 2 that it will review, during its term beginning in October, a federal appeals court decision that held the Affordable Care Act's individual mandate unconstitutional.
In a recent 7-1 decision, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld a decision of the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals holding Medicare law requires HHS to conduct notice-and-comment rulemaking before making an initial determination about Medicare DSH payments. 
The University of Michigan Regents challenged and prevailed in its appeal of a recent lower court decision that erroneously awarded a lawyer more than $98,000 from a portion of his client’s no-fault auto insurance settlement designated for medical treatment.
