On March 15, the MHA hosted a webinar with the Honigman law firm on new air ambulance requirements taking effect March 19.

On Feb. 5, a bipartisan group of senators introduced Senate Bill (SB) 80, which would increase the penalties for those committing assault against emergency department personnel.
The potential for aggressive behavior or violence toward employees exists in numerous situations in healthcare settings.
As reported Jan. 11, a federal judge ruled in late December in favor of the AHA and hospital plaintiffs, determining that the nearly 30 percent cut to Medicare fee-for-service payment rates for 340B drugs implemented in 2018 was unlawful and exceeded the authority of the CMS.
