2019 Health PAC Campaign Kicks into High Gear
With two weeks remaining in its annual fundraising campaign, the MHA Health Political Action Committee (PAC) has raised more than $235,000 toward its $400,000 statewide goal.
Elected officials and state leaders must recognize the crucial role that community hospitals play in the future well-being of the state. Health PAC funding is one of the most critical tools used to assist in ensuring that the hospital community has access to elected officials in Lansing and Washington, DC. Contributions to Health PAC have assisted the MHA in keeping the visibility of critical hospital related funding in the legislative priorities for the fiscal year 2019 state budget. It is imperative that to keep this momentum going by having full participation from all MHA members as healthcare continues to evolve and initiatives are proposed that will help hospitals and the patients they serve.
All those who contribute $350 or more to the campaign secure membership to one of the following clubs: Ambassador Club ($5,000+), Chairman's Circle ($2,500+), Trustees' Club ($1,500+), President's Club ($1,000+), Dignitary Club ($750+), Capitol Club ($500+) and Century Club ($350+). For more information on the campaign, goal achievers and club members, visit the Health PAC website.
The MHA Health PAC Board strongly encourages those hospitals/health systems that have not met or exceeded their organizational goals to immediately launch local fundraising campaigns. Members with exceptional fundraising performance will be formally recognized at the MHA Annual Membership Meeting; therefore, all contributions must be received by June 3. Members with questions should contact Stacy Dowdy at the MHA.
