Medicaid DSH Forms, HRA Data Must be Submitted by Oct. 2

Posted on September 22, 2017

Earlier this month, the Medical Services Administration (MSA) released correspondence regarding the disproportionate share hospital (DSH) eligibility form for fiscal year (FY) 2018. Hospitals are required to complete and return the form no later than Oct. 2, 2017. Failure to return this form by the deadline will result in hospital forfeiture of all Medicaid DSH payments for fiscal year (FY) 2018. The form is available through the MDHHS-File Transfer site as part of the Michigan Medicaid Forms.

In addition, the MSA released correspondence requesting that hospitals provide FY 2016 hospital rate adjustment (HRA), Healthy Michigan Plan HRA and psychiatric HRA payment data. HRA payments should include the managed care component of the rural access pool and obstetrical stabilization pool payments, which are distributed as part of the HRA process. The HRA data is needed for state FY 2016 regardless of the hospital’s fiscal year-end and is also due to the MSA by close of business Oct. 2.
