Conditions of Participation Changes for Home Health Agencies Delayed

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently released a final rule to delay the effective date of significant changes to the Medicare and Medicaid conditions of participation for home health agencies. Implementation of the changes, which are detailed in a final rule published in the Jan. 10 Federal Register, have been delayed from July 13, 2017, to Jan. 13, 2018.Click here to view the full edition of Monday Report.

In addition, the CMS made conforming changes to delay effective dates for updated standards related to performance improvement projects and personnel requirements. Members with questions should contact Vickie Kunz at the MHA.
