The Bureau of Professional Licensing (BPL) is transitioning its Licensing & Regulatory Online System, used for license application and renewal service, from an outdated system to a new one called the Michigan Professional Licensing User System (MiPLUS). The first license program to migrate from the old platform into MiPLUS will be Nursing. The state has scheduled the go-live on Monday, July 24.

Click here to view the full edition of Monday Report. The main change with this new platform is the state will be renewing licenses every two years based on the licensee’s license issue date, as opposed to the current two-year renewal cycle based on the next expiration date of the individual’s profession.

The MHA will keep members informed as additional healthcare professions are added to MiPLUS. Members with questions should contact Paige Fults at the MHA.
