Headline Roundup: Michigan Expands COVID-19 Eligibility

Posted on March 04, 2021

MHA CEO Brian Peters provided a statement March 3 supporting the decision to expand COVID-19 vaccine eligibility in Michigan to include those 50 and older with underlying medical conditions or disabilities and caregiver family members and guardians who care for children with special healthcare needs.

Portions of the statement were included in stories by several news outlets across Michigan, including The Detroit Free PressWDIV Click on Detroit, The Center Square and Petoskey News-Review.

“The significant increase in vaccine supply to our state this week is an encouraging sign that we will be able to vaccinate 70% of our adult population more quickly than originally planned,” said Peters.
