Webinars Explore COVID-19 Financial Impact and Racial Disparities

Posted on July 08, 2020

The MHA webinar series Leadership and Resiliency: Navigating Through and Beyond COVID-19 explores several mission-critical leadership qualities leaders need to help traverse this difficult time. The remaining four webinars will cover different topics over the next several weeks; each webinar will be held from 1 to 2 p.m.

On July 23, Jeff Goldsmith, president of Health Futures Inc., will present The Post-COVID Healthcare Strategy, which will outline the financial effects of an economic slowdown, current political uncertainties, and the threats of disruption by new technologies and competitors, as well as provide direction on strategies to consider now. On Aug. 20, Gloria Goins, former chief diversity and inclusion officer at Bon Secours Mercy Health System, will present How Unconscious Bias Harms Patients During the COVID-19 Pandemic. Goins will summarize how to address, support and manage racial disparities related to COVID-19 and practical actions leaders can take to improve cultural competency in healthcare operations.

Members can register for one of more of the sessions for $99 each. Questions about the webinar series should be directed to Erin Steward at the MHA.
