Registration Open for MHA Keystone Center PSO Annual Meeting

Registration is open for the MHA Keystone Center Patient Safety Organization (PSO) Annual Meeting, which will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 11 at the VisTaTech Center – Schoolcraft College, Livonia. A virtual option is available for those unable to attend in Livonia.

The one-day interactive event will focus on broad safety goals in addition to specific focus areas. Miko Rose, DO, assistant professor, Joy Initiative program director, Michigan State University, will discuss clinician burnout; Carrie Tuskey, director of risk management, Henry Ford Health System, will discuss safety issues related to health information technology; and Lee M. King, PharmD, medication safety officer, Sparrow Hospital, will cover topics around alarm fatigue. Additional presentations will review MHA Keystone Center PSO updates and data submission, as well as 2019 statewide culture survey results.

The MHA Keystone Center PSO Annual Meeting will benefit risk managers, directors of safety and quality, directors of patient experience or compliance, directors of regulatory and clinical excellence, patient safety officers and performance improvement coordinators/analysts.

The event will allow members to connect and learn about important issues facing hospitals and health systems. Members with questions may contact the MHA Keystone Center PSO.
