Attend Breakthrough to Learn Strategies for Confronting Rural Healthcare Challenges

Posted on January 10, 2020

Leaders in small and rural hospitals are well aware they face issues that differ from those encountered by executives in urban healthcare facilities. MHA Breakthrough, Feb. 27 and 28 at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, will employ its unique format to address rural healthcare challenges, with an eye to transformation.

BreakthroughJoined by executives from Michigan rural hospitals, members of a Tennessee coalition will share ways they are aligning resources and developing holistic solutions to healthcare. Following the panel, participants will discuss rural hospitals’ top challenges and the existing strengths they can use to meet them, internal and external factors that put rural facilities at risk, and concepts that could help these hospitals flourish.

Additional sessions explore alliances that combat social determinants of health, improving access to treatment for mental health conditions and substance abuse disorders, and improving patient experience.

Registration is available online for MHA Breakthrough. MHA members who register two individuals from the same hospital for Breakthrough can register a third person for free. Contact Erica Leyko for assistance with registration; contact Erin Steward with questions about the event.
