News to Know - Week of Nov. 4

Posted on November 02, 2019

Upcoming events and important healthcare news for the week of Nov. 4:

  • The MHA Keystone Center Board of Directors will meet from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at MHA headquarters, Okemos. For more information, contact Brittany Bogan at the MHA.

  • The Michigan State Loan Repayment Program (MSLRP), which assists employers in the recruitment and retention of primary care providers by providing up to $200,000 in tax-free funds to repay educational debt, will accept applications postmarked from Feb. 3-7 only, with Feb. 3 postmarks being considered first. The highly competitive process requires providers and employers to carefully read the MSLRP Application Period Update and the entire MSLRP website to ensure all specifications of the process are met. Significant program changes starting with this application period are included in these materials. If questions remain after reading the MSLRP website, contact Ken Miller at the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services at (517) 241-9946.
