MHA Service Corporation Board Supports 2019-2020 MHA Strategic Action Plan

The MHA Service Corporation (MHASC) convened a meeting of its board Sept. 30 to engage in further strategic assessment and development of programs and services to support key initiatives in the 2019-2020 MHA action plan. The primary mission of the MHASC is delivering innovative solutions that help clients improve value and performance.
At its meeting, the MHASC board focused on an overview of the current MHA action plan and the role of the board in setting strategic direction. The MHASC provides critical support to the MHA in the form of nondues revenue through its Endorsed Business Partner program, Data Services, and Unemployment Compensation Program. The MHASC will be launching new strategies for business solutions to address members’ human resources needs, financial issues and workplace violence in the coming months Visit the MHA Business Services webpage to learn more about the portfolio of options available.
In addition, the MHA Data Services team led an in-depth discussion on enhanced data and analytics strategies to collect and use data to drive improvements in population health, advance advocacy objectives and serve members’ operational needs. Finally, the board recognized Scott Pillion, former CEO of Helen Newberry Joy Hospital, Newberry, for his service on the MHASC board and continued support of all MHA members in his new role as vice president of finance and controller at the MHA.
The MHASC board will be adding new members during this program year to expand depth and breadth of expertise. The board will also launch a Human Resources Committee to address current issues and consider future healthcare workforce needs.
