Headline Roundup: Medicaid Work Requirements Proposal

Capitol buildingThe MHA’s testimony on a proposal to institute work requirements for Medicaid recipients in Michigan, including individuals enrolled in the Healthy Michigan Plan, was covered by outlets across the state.

The Michigan Senate voted April 19 to approve the proposal in Senate Bill (SB) 897, and the MHA voiced its opposition in written testimony.

Here are a few headlines from across the state:

Following the Senate vote, the measure was referred to the Michigan House of Representatives for consideration, with the chamber expected to take up the legislation within the next couple of weeks.
