The MHA Keystone Center will host a critical care simulation at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine, Kalamazoo to teach members how to drive improvement in ventilator-associated events, delirium and readmissions.
The hands-on simulations will demonstrate appropriate assessments for the A-F bundle, including pain, agitation and delirium, how to safely mobilize a critical ill patient and improving interdisciplinary rounds.
Each simulation is approximately four hours in length. Members can register for a morning session (8 a.m. to noon) or afternoon session (1 to 5 p.m.)
Due to an overwhelming response, the MHA Keystone Center is no longer accepting registrations for the Oct. 18 simulation. Contact email@example.com to be added to the wait list, and we will contact you if a spot becomes available.
There are also critical care simulations being offered Oct. 2 at Central Michigan University College of Medicine, Covenant Healthcare Simulation Center, Saginaw and Oct. 30 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor.
