The Great Lakes Partners for Patients (GLPP) is collaborating with the Joint Commission Center for Transforming Healthcare (CTH) to support GLPP hospitals in their journey to become high reliability organizations.
As part of this effort, monthly webinars are available to GLPP Hospital Improvement Innovation Network (HIIN) hospitals that discuss practices and processes of HROs. The target audience for these webinars are CEOs, chief medical officers, chief nursing officers, vice presidents/directors of quality and safety, and anyone engaged in creating an environment of accountability and reliability.
Registration is free and open to all GLPP HIIN hospitals.
David Baker, MD, MPH, executive vice president for Healthcare Quality Evaluation at The Joint Commission, will review the history of the Joint Commission's first pain standards and lessons learned, describe current quality and safety programs related to opioid prescribing, and discuss how the revised standards address the opioid epidemic and form the foundation for an opioid stewardship program.
Questions about the GLPP/CTH high reliability initiative can be directed to the MHA Keystone Center.
