Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
David Seaman currently serves as executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Michigan Health & Hospital Association (MHA), directing the association’s public policy, advocacy and communications efforts. He provides advice on all major internal and external issues affecting the MHA and its membership.
Before coming to Michigan, Seaman served on a large number of state and national advisory panels, committees, etc., dealing with such diverse topics as technological innovation, long-term care, mental health and minority management. He was also co-chairman of New York Governor Mario Cuomo’s Nutrition Education Campaign.
Seaman is the recipient of Distinguished Service Award from the Michigan Osteopathic Hospital Association and the Greater Flint Area Health Assembly. He has served as an adjunct faculty member at Northern Michigan University.
Seaman received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from Cornell University in New York.
He is married to Sheri Seaman and has two daughters, Marissa and Amanda.
