The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) recently informed providers that, due to the upcoming transition to the Statewide Integrated Governmental Management Application (SIGMA), there will be a delay in Medicaid fee-for-service payments and remittance advices (RAs) from the MDHHS. There will be no payments or RAs issued Oct. 5; they will be combined with those for Oct. 12.
The MHA encourages hospitals to consider this delay for cash forecasting purposes. Members with questions should contact Vickie Kunz at the MHA. Providers are also encouraged to contact the SIGMA Vendor Customer Support Center with questions or any issues that arise.
